We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Executive/Assistant Manager-Social Media and Content Marketing with a positive outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our Hong Kong team. Someone who thrives on responsibility and accountability. Your objective is to proactively drive forward client programmes and deliver results. You are able to envision brand requirements and turn that into creative and engaging, audience-focused storytelling. You are responsible for front-line client relationships and implementing social media marketing strategies for clients. You manage online communities, execute online advertising and interpret analytics, working towards the set KPIs and reporting requirements. You are knowledgeable of functionality, content features, audiences, styles and trends across platforms, including, but not limited to, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, WeChat, Red, and Weibo. It’s important that you work well with others.
RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS POSITION
- Content Creation: Stays up to date with the latest social media trends and adopts new social media practices as appropriate, crafting impactful messaging and storytelling for digital and social media content, with the ability to adapt tone for target audience across B2C and B2B channels
- Social Media Management: Content publishing, platform management and paid social campaign implementation for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Threads. (WeChat, RED and Weibo are a plus)
- Analytics & Optimisation: Ensure optimal delivery and performance of campaigns and derive insights from data for optimisation
- Account & Project Management: Serve as key day-to-day client contact, assist in developing client timelines and manage expectations
- Influencer & Industry Network: Develop strong relationships with lifestyle influencers, negotiating partnerships with them on behalf of clients and the agency, as well as building and maintaining relationships with contacts at social media platforms to explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- New Business Development: Assist with new client pitches, including research, proposal development and presentations
- Research & Insights: Monitor news and trends for clients and their competitors using media monitoring and social listening tools
- Collaboration: Collaborate with content and creative team to craft engaging content
- Reporting: Lead the monitoring, analysis and reporting for clients, track outcomes against KPIs and competitors, and drive results
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CANDIDATE
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese (native Cantonese)
- Degree qualifications with a minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience in digital and social media marketing within an agency or in-house environment
- Working knowledge of tools like Canva and generative AI
- Design and editing skills, also a plus
- Strong working understanding of media buying, SEO and SEM
- Experience in analytics, website management and influencer engagement is a plus
- Creative thinker with a strong passion for digital and social media marketing
- High attention to detail and possess outstanding planning and organisational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
- Holder of Permanent HK ID card or legally eligible to work in Hong Kong
