Tsuburaya Productions unveils highly anticipated Ultraman Card Game

An industry-first release in four languages and 23 regions simultaneously, Tsuburaya Productions immerses players in the battle of the century by recreating classic scenes in Ultraman Card Game.

Tsuburaya Productions opens an exciting new chapter in Ultraman’s legacy with the global launch of the highly anticipated Ultraman Card Game (UCG), expanding the iconic franchise into the world of strategic card gaming. The Ultraman Card Game debuts with two starter decksHeroes of Hyperspace and The Bonds of Zero—available in four languages: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. This marks the first time a Trading Card Game has been launched simultaneously in all four languages across 23 countries and regions*.

The Ultraman Card Game showcases special collectible cards featuring stunning artwork from Ultraman Tiga illustrator Hiroshi Maruyama and production designer Masayuki Goto, bringing beloved characters from the series to life. With card rarities ranging from Common (C) and Uncommon (UC) to the highly coveted Triple Rare (RRR), players can dive into fast-paced, strategy-driven gameplay, completing thrilling head-to-head cosmic battles within 15 minutes, perfectly capturing the excitement of the Ultraman universe.

Based on iconic moments from the Ultraman series, the game’s scene cards add a unique strategic element to the gameplay, enabling players to change the course of battle with tactical decision-making. This combination of visuals and strategy provides players with a new way to immerse themselves in the world of Ultraman.

Inspired by iconic moments from the Ultraman series, Heroes of Hyperspace features elements from Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace, while The Bonds of Zero is based on the Ultraman Z series. Each deck contains exclusive cards unavailable in future booster packs, giving players an early competitive edge while ensuring balanced gameplay. Additionally, unique connecting cards can be combined to create a complete illustration, making them a must-have for collectors.

Each starter deck comprises 50 cards that feature both character and scene cards, along with a playsheet to equip players for their journey in becoming the ultimate galactic hero. Players will also receive a bonus Guardians of the Earth booster pack with the purchase of either starter decks, enhancing their gaming experience from the outset.

The Ultraman Card Game officially launched on 25 October 2024 across 23 countries and regions. Taiwanese fans can purchase the Japanese-language starter decks for HKD58 from retail stores, toy stores, and trading card stores. Players can further expand their decks with Guardians of the Earth booster packs, which launched on 8 November, available as single packs or 24-pack boxes.
